Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. is seeking a Director of Data Enablement and Reporting to lead data governance, AI readiness, and analytics across R&D.

You will define strategy, partner with IT, Data Science, and business teams, and oversee governance, quality, and AI-enabled reporting initiatives. You will drive a data-centric culture, ensure compliance with GxP, HIPAA, GDPR where applicable, and deliver scalable data products and self-service analytics while aligning with enterprise

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (Data Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, CS)
• 8–10+ years in data governance, stakeholder mgmt or related role in pharma/biotech/life sciences
• Proven track record defining and operationalizing data governance frameworks in regulated environments
• Deep understanding of R&D data domains (clinical trials, external real-world data, genomics)
• Experience with collaborating with data science and AI teams and modern data stacks
• Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills across senior stakeholders
• Ability to translate R&D requirements into governance initiatives and data products

Responsibilities

• Lead Data Governance Strategy and Implementation across R&D
• Build and maintain a governance framework, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality metrics
• Deliver governed data products and analytic reporting to support insights and efficiency
• Collaborate with Data Science/AI teams to ensure data quality and AI readiness
• Mentor a high-performing data and reporting team and drive a culture of governance and ethics
