Job summary

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Companies (U.S.) seeks a Director of Data Enablement and Reporting to shape and oversee data enablement and reporting analytics across the R&D organization. You will implement governance programs, ensure AI-ready data, and collaborate with AI, data science, engineering, and business teams to unlock R&D data value while meeting compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8-10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, stakeholder management or a related role within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry.
• Proven track record of defining, implementing, and operationalizing data governance frameworks and delivering strategic reporting in a regulated (GxP) environment.
• Deep understanding of R&D data and information domains (clinical trials, data standards, regulatory compliance).
• Experience collaborating with data science and AI teams and familiarity with modern data stack (cloud platforms, data lakes, data catalogs).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a complex organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data and reporting professionals.
• Drive data and AI readiness across R&D and ensure data governance and stewardship.
• Partner with AI/DS teams to deliver data products and analytics.
• Define and monitor SLAs and usage metrics for data products and dashboards.
• Communicate data governance priorities and value to executives and stakeholders.
• Lead analytics and reporting for Clinical Trial operations.
