Job summary

Merck is seeking a Customer MDM Business Lead to drive the business aspects of Customer Master Data Management across the Commercial organization. You will translate strategy and market needs into master data requirements, governance decisions, adoption plans, and measurable business value, working with global, regional, and market stakeholders to ensure trusted customer data and clear decision rights.

Qualifications

• Experience leading across global, regional, and market stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of master data management principles and governance.
• Strong knowledge of commercial processes and CRM ecosystems.
• Proven ability to drive data quality and ROI from data programs.
• Experience with enterprise-scale transformations and change management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Commercial, IT, Data & Analytics, Privacy, Compliance, Legal to align MDM goals.
• Translate strategy into master data requirements and governance decisions.
• Define business rules, KPIs, and adoption plans for Customer MDM.
• Lead readiness activities, stakeholder engagement, and training needs.
• Chair governance councils and drive issue resolution and escalation.
