Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Director Customer Logistics to lead operations, safety, financial targets, and customer relations for multiple warehouse locations. You will drive LEAN deployment, orchestrate cross-functional teams, and grow the business with current customers while supporting new opportunities.

Strong leadership, P&L, and strategic communication are essential. Responsibilities include managing regional accounts, achieving KPIs, and mentoring location managers to deliver high-value logistics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field.
• Eight (8) years or more Logistics/supply chain experience in multiple locations
• Five (5) years or more demonstrated experience developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management skills
• Six (6) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports
• Six (6) years or more managing large multi-level teams
• Five (5) years or more P&L responsibility including forecasting and managing financial targets
• Five (5) years or more prior experience implementing a LEAN work environment preferred
• Four (4) years or more managing customer KPIs
• Four (4) years or more managing customer relationship and interaction
• Three (3) years or more experience providing customer and senior level management presentations preferred
• Some sales experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of integrated warehouse operations/solutions, distribution, transportation and carrier management at a strategic level advanced preferred

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with customer(s) at regional or corporate level; represent Ryder in customer meetings including QBRs.
• Forecast, plan, manage and ensure accounts meet defined financial targets; develop mitigation plans.
• Manage operations to meet KPIs; lead accounts during peak periods, projects, and implementations.
• Identify expansion opportunities with current customers; participate in business development and startup activities for new customers.
• Monitor safety culture and ensure targets are met; oversee Lean deployment.
• Oversee profit and loss management; guide GLMs to meet position requirements.
