Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in United States seeks a Director of Customer Logistics to lead operations, safety, financial targets, and customer relations across multiple warehouse locations. You will drive LEAN deployment and CI, participate in business development for new customers, and manage a complex logistics portfolio valued around $100M.

You will guide location managers, oversee KPIs, and mentor GLMs to deliver exceptional service, while expanding services and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field.
• Eight (8) years or more Logistics/supply chain experience in multiple locations.
• Five (5) years or more demonstrated experience developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management skills.
• Six (6) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports.
• Six (6) years or more managing large multi-level teams.
• Five (5) years or more P&L responsibility including forecasting and managing financial targets.
• Five (5) years or more prior experience implementing a LEAN work environment preferred.
• Four (4) years or more managing customer KPIs.
• Four (4) years or more managing customer relationship and interaction.
• Three (3) years or more experience providing customer and senior level management presentations.
• Some sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with customer(s) at a regional or corporate level based on operational execution and value creation.
• Forecast, plan, manage and ensure assigned accounts meet defined financial targets.
• Manage operations to meet or exceed internal and external KPIs and lead during peak seasons and implementations.
• Identify expansion opportunities with current customer(s) and participate in new business start‑ups.
• Monitor and uphold a safety culture that meets annual targets.
• Oversee Lean Guiding Principles deployment and continuous improvement.
• Hire, train, and supervise Group Logistics Managers to meet role requirements.
