Dollar Tree is seeking a Director of Customer Insights & Analytics to lead a high-impact insights function, delivering customer, category, and performance insights to guide merchandising and marketing strategies.

You will partner with senior leaders, translate complex data into clear narratives, manage external suppliers, and develop a team of three direct reports to drive growth through data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in customer insights or analytics across brands or retailers.
• 5+ years in leadership developing high-performing teams.
• Deep expertise in merchandising data and dashboards.
• Strong analytical ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to collaborate with senior merchandising and marketing leaders.
• Experience managing external suppliers and agency partners with an ownership mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across the enterprise.
• Track record of attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize merchandising and marketing data and insights through an annual calendar.
• Translate complex insights into clear narratives that influence decision-making.
• Lead enterprise-wide insights for quarterly deep dives and board updates.
• Proactively recommend strategies to drive incremental trips, sales, and growth.
• Lead quarterly customer qualitative research and marketing attribution initiatives.
• Manage supplier contracts and deliverables to maximize value.
• Develop a team of three direct reports and foster a culture of collaboration.
• Ensure timely delivery of insights within the budget.
