Job summary

Care For the Homeless in New York seeks a dynamic Development professional to secure corporate contributions, sponsorships, and major gifts from individuals and companies. You will manage a portfolio of partners, cultivate long‑term relationships, and collaborate across departments to drive revenue and visibility for CFH’s mission.

You will research prospects, prepare compelling proposals, and lead donor conversations, including multi‑year and increased philanthropic support opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with corporate partnerships or donor cultivation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and community leaders.
• Experience securing corporate sponsorships or strategic partnerships.
• Experience with prospect research, cultivation, solicitation, and donor stewardship.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual strategies to secure unrestricted corporate contributions, sponsorships, and individual philanthropic support.
• Build and manage a portfolio of corporate partners and individual donors for long‑term relationships.
• Research, identify, and qualify prospective supporters aligned with CFH’s mission.
• Cultivate, solicit, and secure new gifts and sponsorships for programs, events, and direct services.
• Lead meetings and donor conversations, communicating CFH’s mission and opportunities for partnership.
• Represent CFH at events to build relationships and increase organizational visibility.
• Maintain regular communication with donors and ensure understanding of impact.
• Develop proposals, presentations, and collateral for supporters.
• Coordinate donor visits to CFH programs and sites.
