Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Director, Corporate Development & Special Projects to join our leadership team in the Enterprise Technology space. This remote role will help build and scale a corporate development function while partnering closely with executive leadership on strategic investments, M&A, and special projects.

The position will evaluate growth opportunities, drive diligence and negotiation, and shape decisions that support long-term strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; MBA preferred.
8+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or VC/PE with a focus on technology M&A.
Exceptional financial modeling skills in dynamic markets.
Proficiency in AI tools, Excel, and Google Workspace; familiarity with Tableau, Salesforce, and NetSuite is a plus.
Outstanding communication skills for engaging with executives and investors.
Strong ownership mentality and intellectual curiosity, with a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

Build and scale the corporate development function from the ground up.
Source, evaluate, and execute strategic investments and M&A opportunities.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform corporate strategy.
Manage the full deal process, including diligence and negotiation.
Maintain relationships with venture capital firms, investment bankers, and potential targets.
Lead special projects aligned with strategic priorities.
Conduct financial benchmarking to inform strategy and planning.
Support investor relations activities, including narrative crafting and communications.
