WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $155,000-$210,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Applicants for this position must not now, nor at any point in the future, require sponsorship for employment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Partner with executive leadership and business leaders across the enterprise to identify, assess, and pursue innovative business development opportunities that drive growth, expand capabilities, and create competitive advantage.
  • Oversee all aspects of transaction execution, including target sourcing, financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiations, and integration planning to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities through proactive market analysis, relationship management, and collaboration with investment banks, advisors, and industry partners.
  • Develop compelling business cases and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership, evaluating financial impact, cultural alignment, strategic fit, risks, and value creation opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams spanning Finance, Investments, Legal, HR, Enterprise Risk Management, and business operations to drive seamless transaction execution and successful post-deal integration.
  • Foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture by mentoring talent, promoting knowledge sharing, improving processes, and ensuring accountability, engagement, and operational excellence across the function.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Demonstrated success executing the full transaction lifecycle, including opportunity identification, valuation, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, deal structuring, execution, and post-transaction integration.
  • Deep financial and accounting expertise, including advanced financial modeling, valuation analysis, business case development, investment thesis, capital allocation, and assessment of strategic growth opportunities.
  • Strong insurance industry knowledge, including U.S. Statutory (STAT) reserving, insurance capital frameworks, Risk-Based Capital (RBC) requirements, and the financial and regulatory considerations that influence strategic decisions.
  • Highly analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to evaluate complex business opportunities, synthesize large amounts of information, identify risks and opportunities, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Hands-on, execution-oriented professional with a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality who can independently perform detailed analytical work while simultaneously leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives to completion.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across business functions, manage stakeholders, negotiate effectively, and present compelling recommendations to executive leadership and external partners.
  • You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remote with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico. Relocation assistance is available.
  • Candidates located outside of Omaha should expect travel of approximately 25-50% annually, with increased travel during active transactions, due diligence, integration, and strategic planning activities.
