Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking a Senior Director, Solution Architect – Core Technology to define and drive an integrated architecture strategy across cloud, collaboration, and end-user computing in a global, GxP-regulated biopharma environment.

You will establish the architecture function within Core Technology, partner with security, data, and application teams, and lead governance, standards, and strategic programs across Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise networking.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of IT infrastructure and workplace technologies.
• Proven experience in solution architecture or enterprise architecture leadership.
• Experience in global, federated organizations.
• Experience in GxP-regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive end-to-end solution architecture across Core Technology domains.
• Partner with Information Security to co-architect cybersecurity platforms and controls.
• Establish architecture governance processes, standards, and governance.
• Lead cross-domain architectural decisions and liaison to senior leadership.
• Drive enterprise AI capabilities and secure digital workplace enablement across Microsoft 365 and Azure AI.
