Job summary

Hirenexus client, a growing, private equity-backed food manufacturer, is seeking a dedicated continuous improvement leader to build a CI function on a 250-person production floor in the Greater Boston area.

You'll drive cost-out, labor productivity, yield, and waste reduction; develop KPI framework; partner with plant leadership; and coach teams on Lean and Six Sigma on-site, using NetSuite and Power BI for reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in continuous improvement, operations excellence, or industrial engineering with leadership responsibility.
• Proven success improving labor-intensive, high-mix manual assembly operations.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred, especially fresh/perishable or protein processing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma; Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Track record building metrics, labor standards, and accountability systems from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost-out initiatives focusing on labor productivity, yield, and waste reduction.
• Build KPI and metrics foundations, including labor standards and dashboards.
• Shorten the loop between labor planning and actual results for standard daily execution.
• Rethink manual work organization, line layout, staffing models, and labor standards for high-mix hand assembly.
• Identify and attack sources of product loss, giveaway, and waste in a perishable environment.
• Drive root cause analysis and ensure fixes stick.
• Introduce practical Lean and Six Sigma tools and build a CI culture on site.
• Work hands-on on the floor coaching and training supervisors and team members.
• Partner with quality and food safety to ensure improvements meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Use NetSuite and Power BI to turn operational data into clear, actionable reporting.
