Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in South Boston is seeking a Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Leader to guide the factory's Lean operating system and drive breakthrough improvements across the value chain.

You will partner with the Factory Manager and leadership to empower teams and execute world-class improvements that enhance efficiency and sustainability. Required: 10+ years in Lean environments, strong communication and leadership, and a Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.

Qualifications

• Lean operating systems and continuous improvement experience in manufacturing or transactional environments.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Lean/Six Sigma certifications preferred (Lean Master/Expert/Black Belt).

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment and maturity of the ITM System across the factory.
• Drive breakthrough improvements with Lean tools: 5S, Daily Management, VSM.
• Facilitate strategy deployment, goal setting, Kaizen planning and Leader Standard Work.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to elevate KPIs and optimize processes.
• Lead cost-out and productivity initiatives across the value chain.
• Build Lean capability through coaching, training and mentoring.
• Champion an engagement culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure sustained performance via structured problem solving and gap closure.
