Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Director for its Consumer & Retail Group in Tampa, FL. You will lead complex engagements across transformation, performance improvement, and M&A, owning value creation from start to finish.

You will build and guide high-performing teams, manage scope and timelines, and engage with C-level stakeholders to drive strategic decisions with credibility and impact. Strong leadership and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in consumer/retail consulting or corporate finance/operations
• MBA preferred or equivalent experience in business administration
• Willingness to travel up to 70% domestically
• Strong analytical and data skills with ability to develop client-ready documents and presentations

Responsibilities

• Lead complex client engagements across transformation, performance improvement, and M&A with value creation from start to finish
• Build and lead high-performing teams on engagements, managing scope, approach, resourcing, and timelines
• Maintain C-level and board relationships to guide strategic decisions with credibility
• Identify opportunities for EBITDA expansion and shareholder value in partnership with leadership
• Synthesize financial, operational, and strategic data into enterprise-level recommendations with P&L impact
• Drive change management and stakeholder alignment across complex organizations
• Develop durable client relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Mentor junior staff and participate in recruiting and capability building
