Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director for its Consumer & Retail Group in the U.S. to lead complex client engagements across transformation, performance improvement, and M&A.

You will own value creation from start to finish, building and guiding high-performing teams while managing scope, resourcing, and timelines with rigor. You will engage with C-level and board stakeholders, delivering credible, data-driven recommendations that drive EBITDA expansion and shareholder value.

Qualifications

• Consulting or consulting and operational experience in consumer/retail industries.
• Ability to lead complex work streams and deliver results under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication; develops client-ready documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex client engagements across transformation, performance improvement, and M&A, owning value creation from start to finish.
• Build and lead high-performing teams, managing scope, resourcing, and timelines with discipline.
• Manage C-level and board relationships, guiding strategic decisions with credibility and insight.
• Identify opportunities for EBITDA expansion and shareholder value in collaboration with CRG leadership.
• Synthesize financial, operational, and strategic data into enterprise-level recommendations with measurable P&L impact.
• Drive change management and stakeholder alignment across complex organizations.
• Develop durable client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
