Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director in the Consumer & Retail Group to lead complex engagements across transformation, performance improvement, and M&A. You will own value creation and client impact from start to finish, guiding strategic decisions with credibility and hands-on problem-solving.

The role requires 6+ years of experience in consumer/retail consulting or related corporate roles, advanced data skills, and the ability to travel up to 70%.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree from a top university; MBA preferred.
• Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in consumer/retail business or consulting at a professional services firm.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex client engagements across transformation, performance improvement, and M&A.
• Build and lead high-performing teams on engagements with rigorous scope, resourcing, and timelines.
• Own C-level and board relationships; guide strategic decisions with credibility.
• Identify high-impact opportunities for EBITDA expansion in partnership with CRG leadership and clients.
• Synthesize data into enterprise-level recommendations with P&L impact.
• Drive change management and stakeholder alignment across complex organizations.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in recruiting.
