Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director for the Consumer & Retail Group. You will lead complex transformations, drive EBITDA expansion, and manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver measurable client outcomes.

You will cultivate C-suite relationships, guide strategic decisions, and mentor junior staff while contributing to recruiting and intellectual property development. This role requires strategic thinking and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a top university.
• MBA preferred or advanced business degree.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in consumer/retail or consulting.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% M-F.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex client engagements across transformation, performance improvement, and M&A.
• Own value creation and client impact from start to finish.
• Build and lead high-performing teams on engagements with rigor and speed.
• Manage scope, approach, resourcing, and timeline with credibility.
• Own C-level and board relationships and guide strategic decisions.
• Identify opportunities for EBITDA expansion and shareholder value.
• Synthesize data into enterprise-level recommendations with P&L impact.
• Drive change management and stakeholder alignment across organizations.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in recruiting.
