Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Director of Data Science to lead the NV Consumer Analytics portfolio, shaping how we measure success, guide product and operational strategy, and build data foundations that help cross-functional teams move quickly and make better decisions.

You will grow a high-performing team, develop decision frameworks, and partner with Product, Engineering, Strategy & Operations, Design, and Finance to drive data-driven outcomes across a fast-growing set of consumer surfaces.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience leading senior teams and developing managers.
• Strong product and business analytics judgment, with a track record of defining metrics, building decision frameworks, and influencing strategy in ambiguous environments.
• Deep expertise in experimentation and causal inference, and comfort making decisions with imperfect data and evolving products.
• Hands-on technical fluency in SQL and statistical analysis, capable of raising the technical bar while leading.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of data science and analytics leaders across a portfolio from 0→1 products to high-traffic surfaces.
• Own analytical direction for NV Consumer, including goal formulation and data tools for cross-functional partners.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Strategy & Operations, Design, and Finance to influence roadmap, growth playbook, and investment decisions.
• Build the operating system for decision-making by upleveling data foundations and democratizing data access through AI-enabled tooling.
• Operate with broad scope and high autonomy in a startup-like environment within a scaled analytics organization.
• Drive impact at scale as a cross-functional leader in a large, fast-growing business unit.
