Job summary

Penguin Solutions in Durham, NC or Fremont, CA seeks a Director, Commercial Legal to own the company’s global commercial contracts. You will manage end-to-end transactions, collaborate with sales and operations, and shape contracting strategy for AI infra, memory, and computing platforms.

The role demands a JD, active bar, 12+ years of experience, and strong negotiation and risk-management skills. Remote-friendly within the United States, with a base pay range noted and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership required.
• 12+ years of relevant legal experience with substantial commercial contracting expertise.
• Experience negotiating complex customer and vendor agreements; technology/hardware/infrastructure exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own large, complex commercial transactions end-to-end, from structuring through negotiation and execution.
• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of enterprise customer, vendor, and procurement agreements.
• Advise on delivery, performance standards, warranties, liability, and downstream obligations in complex deals.
• Partner with sales, product, finance, and operations to enable efficient deal execution and scalable processes.
