Job summary

KLDiscovery, Inc. seeks a strategic advisor to handle commercial contracting, product launches, technology licensing, and AI‑driven legal issues.

You will draft and negotiate customer and vendor agreements, advise on AI governance, and collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Executive Management across the organization. This is a fully remote role based in the United States with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor with a current Bar license.
5–10 years of experience in commercial/transactional law and technology licensing.
Experience advising on AI, ML, cloud computing, data privacy and regulatory issues.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including software licensing and data processing agreements.
Provide legal counsel on AI governance, responsible AI practices, and emerging AI regulation.
Identify legal risks and propose pragmatic mitigation strategies.
Advise on data privacy, IP, and regulatory compliance in commercial transactions.
Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Business teams to structure deals and support launches.
Stay current on AI law and data protection developments and update documentation.
Leverage AI tools to improve productivity and legal service delivery.
Support other legal areas such as employment law, litigation strategy, and risk management when needed.
