VML in the United States is seeking a Director, Commerce Strategy to serve as the primary strategic lead for client partners. You bridge business transformation with rigorous execution and mentor the next generation of strategic talent to ensure bold, commercially grounded outputs.

This role demands omnichannel planning, market research, and the ability to translate insights into actionable growth opportunities.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in advertising, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2-3+ years of formal experience managing direct reports and coaching.
• 7-10 years of experience in omnichannel retail strategy, engagement marketing, or a related field.
• Experience within an agency, CPG company, research company, or consulting firm is preferred.
• Retail IQ with top U.S. retailers understanding.
• Applied experience with MRI Simmons and Mintel.
• Exceptional storytelling and client-facing communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Set the strategic agenda for client portfolios and identify long-term growth levers.
• Translate insights into compelling narratives and actionable jobs to be done for brands and retailers.
• Direct synthesis of complex challenges into clear strategic frameworks for stakeholders.
• Conduct market research and competitive audits using tools like MRI Simmons, Mintel, Infegy, and YPulse.
• Develop omnichannel strategies across in-store, online, social, and email channels.
• Lead the presentation of strategic work to senior stakeholders and drive business decisions.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing strategy team.
