Job summary

University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN invites applications for the Director of College Access Programs. This 50/50 role leads TRIO and Pathways initiatives, ensuring strategic planning, compliance, and program development to boost college access and student success.

The Director oversees budgets, grants, reporting, and cross-unit collaboration, guiding staff and partnering with schools and community organizations to advance pathways to higher education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, education, social sciences, public administration, or a closely related field.
• Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible professional experience in higher education.
• Experience with budget development, fiscal oversight, and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for TRIO and Pathways programs and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
• Develop and implement college access and student success strategies across programs.
• Monitor student outcomes and coordinate data-informed program improvements.
• Manage program budgets, reporting, and coordination with campus partners.
• Supervise staff, mentors, and program volunteers; support professional development.
• Represent TRIO and Pathways on university committees and external partners.
