Job summary

Ball State University invites applications for the role of Director of Student Pathways and Partnerships. This leadership position reports to the Vice Provost for Student Success and Dean of University College and focuses on equity, belonging, persistence, and degree completion for historically underserved student populations.

The Director will build cross-campus partnerships, coordinate pathways of support, and reduce barriers to access, ensuring all students have access to relationships,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Education, or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience in advising, student success, TRIO, student affairs, or related higher education programs.
• Experience working with students from various educational, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
• Experience partnering with community-based organizations to support vulnerable populations.
• Demonstrated experience developing student success initiatives or educational programming.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the university's strategic vision for Student Pathways and Partnerships.
• Partnership Development: Develop strategic partnerships across campus and within the community.
• Population Strategy: Provide leadership for initiatives supporting first-generation, veterans, low-income, adult learners, and other populations.
• Institutional Capacity Building: Lead cross-divisional efforts to improve responsiveness, policy review, and resource coordination.
• Assessment and Continuous Improvement: Establish metrics, evaluate outcomes, monitor participation, and prepare annual reports.
• Supervision: Supervise Student Pathways Specialists.
• Leadership and development: Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
