Job summary

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is seeking a Director of Growth & Engagement to lead strategic membership growth, engagement, and retention. You will partner with Marketing & Communications leadership to plan recruitment initiatives and strengthen the member value proposition.

You will oversee engagement across programs, services, and advocacy, and manage business intelligence for member and market data, ensuring high-quality experiences aligned with our goals.

Qualifications

• Strategic leader with experience developing multi-year plans and measurable objectives.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to derive insights from member data.
• Experience growing and retaining a professional membership base.
• Proficiency with membership databases and related software.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for recruitment and long-term membership growth, including campaigns and messaging.
• Define and optimize the member value proposition across programs, services, and advocacy.
• Lead member insights, research, dashboards, and reporting to guide priorities and actions.
• Oversee vendor relationships and ensure operational improvements in recruitment, retention, and engagement.
• Collaborate across teams to educate staff on membership strategy and drive cross-department initiatives.
• Coach and develop direct reports while ensuring data accuracy across systems.
