Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Director to lead the Eligibility portfolio within the PBM Adjudication Software Engineering & Transformation group. You will guide strategy, delivery, architecture, and stability for the eligibility platform, its APIs, client onboarding, and data integration, driving modernization from on‑premises to cloud‑based services.

You will manage a multi‑team organization, ensure production readiness and SLA adherence, and collaborate with AI initiatives, architecture and engineering

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Healthcare IT, including 2+ years at a Director or Senior Manager level leading application/system teams on cloud technologies
• Experience owning production‑critical, high‑availability APIs or systems, including release management and deployment safety
• Experience leading legacy‑to‑cloud modernization or data migration programs
• Experience managing a mixed FTE/contingent workforce
• Ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence without direct authority
• Proficient in cloud engineering fundamentals - scalable, secure API and datastore design and familiar with applying AI in engineering/ops

Responsibilities

• Own strategy, delivery, architecture, and operational stability for the eligibility platform, APIs, client onboarding and data integration
• Lead modernization of eligibility processing from legacy on‑premises to cloud‑based data services
• Oversee release management, deployment safety practices, and incident response for production‑critical services
• Lead and develop a multi-team organization; build bench strength and successors for key roles
• Manage production support and SLA adherence; communicate with business stakeholders
• Partner with architecture and principal engineering on AI-enabled initiatives and integrate into planning
