Alto Neuroscience is seeking a Director of Clinical Development to lead medical oversight across our clinical trials, ensuring patient safety, protocol integrity, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a medical degree and several years in clinical research or monitoring, with strong collaboration across sites and cross-functional teams. Onsite in Mountain View, CA with potential remote consideration. Salary range is $215,000–$255,000, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Medical degree required (MD/DO/NP/PA/PharmD or equivalent).
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical or medical experience, with at least 2 years in a medical monitor or clinical research-related role.
• Experience in clinical trial design, management, and safety monitoring.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and industry standards (ICH-GCP, FDA, EMA).
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to patient safety.

Responsabilités

• Provide medical oversight for clinical trials, ensuring patient safety and protocol compliance.
• Assess adverse events (AEs/SAEs) and provide medical guidance for reporting and management.
• Review and contribute to protocol development, informed consent, and study documents.
• Analyze safety and efficacy data and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical operations, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance).
• Support safety monitoring plans and risk management activities.
