Job summary

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP seeks an Associate Director, Client Development – Funds, to lead global client development initiatives for our Funds practices. You will be the central point for pitches and RFPs, coordinating across lawyers and business teams to deliver high-quality materials that advance new business opportunities.

The role includes designing and executing event strategy, managing budgets, guiding content development, and fostering strong relationships with partners and clients

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in a law firm environment, preferably in a business development role supporting Registered Funds practices.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with partners, practice leaders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of strategic pitches, proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs for Funds and related areas.
• Partner with Firm leadership to develop client plans, relationship strategies, and opportunity pipelines.
• Oversee submissions for directories, rankings, awards, and surveys relevant to Funds.
• Produce differentiated client-facing materials across print and digital channels.
• Manage client development budgets and CRM data related to Funds practices.
• Act as senior CDE lead for Funds, coordinating cross-practice initiatives.
