Job summary

Ally is seeking a senior leader to own authentication strategy, guiding policy, technology choices, and vendor relationships across login, MFA, recovery, and session trust. This role focuses on reducing fraud risk while preserving a positive customer experience in a hybrid, in-office setting.

You will partner with product, security, and engineering teams to design scalable identity solutions, drive cross-functional governance, and mentor teams responsible for CIAM, identity proofing, and fraud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in banking/fintech fraud or identity leadership with authentication experience.
• Experience balancing fraud risk, security, and customer experience across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Set the customer authentication policy and decision framework across login, step-up, recovery, and session trust.
• Own the cross-channel authentication roadmap & business requirements across mobile, web, contact center, including MA, biometrics, device trust, session orchestration, and recovery flows.
• Direct authentication decisioning and capability strategy by specifying signals, controls, and vendor capabilities.
• Maintain inventory of CIAM risks and mapped controls, incorporate fraud investigations and external threat intelligence.
• Evaluate and pilot new authentication capabilities, signals, and data sources to strengthen CIAM controls.
• Define clear handoffs with adjacent identity teams, ensuring initial verification at opening and ongoing authentication for returning customers.

Education
