Job summary

Optimum is seeking a Senior IAM Engineer to anchor the Customer IAM team in NY. You will own platform architecture, define identity standards, and lead modernization initiatives with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable authentication solutions.

You will design policies, governance, and IaC patterns, mentor engineers, and collaborate with application teams to accelerate secure identity integrations while maintaining compliance with SOX, SOC 2, and PCI requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, info systems, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 6+ years of IAM/security engineering experience.
• Experience designing CIAM platforms at scale.
• Deep knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, FIDO2/WebAuthn.
• Experience leading authentication modernization.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (JS/Python/Java/Go).
• Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD for platforms.
• Experience with compliance frameworks (SOX, SOC 2, PCI).
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and design of the enterprise customer identity platform across authentication policy frameworks and lifecycle standards.
• Define and enforce integration standards across identity protocols, ensuring consistency and scalability.
• Lead governance for platform configuration, naming standards, and change controls.
• Lead evaluation and adoption of new identity capabilities aligned to security and scalability.
