Job Title: Technical Channel Sales Director – U.S.

Location: United States (Remote with Travel)
Travel Requirement: Up to 70%
Reports To: Dir, North America ISG Technical Sales

About the Role

Lenovo is seeking a seasoned Technical Channel Sales manager to lead the U.S. channel strategy across Data Center and Infrastructure Solutions. This role is designed for an executive-level leader with deep technical acumen and commercial fluency across the ecosystem of servers, storage, AI, Edge, HPC, and Hybrid Cloud. The ideal candidate combines strategic insight, channel development expertise, and field leadership to drive revenue through national solution providers, distributors, and strategic alliances.

This individual will represent Lenovo with executive presence, acting as a trusted advisor to partners and internal stakeholders alike. You will be instrumental in accelerating Lenovo’s Intelligent Infrastructure footprint by enabling and expanding partner-led growth through enablement, solution-selling, and field execution.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Engagement & Thought Leadership

Be the central go to market thought leader with our partners executive technical leaders enabling on which products to lead with and aligning to their strategies

Influence channel strategy using competitive intelligence and market insights.

Represent Lenovo at industry events, executive briefings, and partner summits.

Deliver keynote presentations and facilitate executive-level discussions across enterprise and mid-market segments.

Channel Sales Strategy & Execution

Execute the technical channel sales strategy for Lenovo ISG (Infrastructure Solutions Group) across the U.S. in conjunction with Lenovo Channel leadership go to market strategies

Drive revenue and growth targets via direct collaboration with regional teams and strategic partners.

Act as a liaison between Lenovo and strategic partner sales/technical leadership

Be an executive advocate for the partners in order to drive partner loyalty and MarketShare

Partner Enablement & Development

Lead teams delivering training, certification, and enablement programs to upskill partners on Lenovo's portfolio (Servers, Storage, AI, Edge, HPC, Hybrid Cloud).

Champion Lenovo's GTM with leading vendors key to our strategy such as VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft, and Red Hat.

Support partners go-to-market activities, including helping close customer opportunities, design support via the team, escalation support and technical positioning.

Partner Ecosystem & Relationship Management

Cultivate and expand executive relationships across distributors, nationals, and global systems integrators.

Jointly develop pipeline generation initiatives and long-term growth programs with partners.

Program & Event Execution

Lead or support national and regional events including trade shows, training bootcamps, webinars, and executive roundtables.

Collaborate with marketing and field sales on integrated campaign development tailored to channel verticals.

Basic Qualifications

10+ years in technical channel sales or technical enterprise infrastructure sales leadership roles

10+ years leadership in your background with proven outcomes

  • 10+ years of proven expertise with Data Center technologies (compute, storage, virtualization, AI/ML, cloud, edge computing)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
Desired skills

Executive-level communication and presentation skills; demonstrated keynote or panel speaker experience

Strong understanding of key OEM, ISV, and cloud ecosystem partnerships (e.g., VMware, Microsoft Azure Stack HCI, Nutanix, Red Hat)

Ability to influence and engage technical stakeholders at all levels (CIO, CTO, Solution Architects)

Hands-on experience in driving complex, partner-led enterprise opportunities to closure

Track record of exceeding sales goals in highly matrixed environments

Deep relationships with Tier-1 National Solution Providers and Distributors (e.g., TD Synnex, Ingram Micro, CDW, SHI, etc.)

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field; MBA preferred

The base salary range for this role is $190,000–$250,000, plus a 20% commission
