Job summary

Washington Regional Medical System is seeking a Director of the Central Billing Office to provide strategic and operational leadership across the health system’s patient financial services. You will oversee billing, denials, cash posting, and accounts receivable performance for hospital and professional services, ensuring a compliant, patient-focused financial experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Central Billing Office across the health system.
• Direct end-to-end billing functions including claim edit resolution, submission, insurance billing, follow-up, denial management, and cash posting.
• Lead, develop, and mentor managers and staff; establish expectations, training, and succession planning.
• Partner with Patient Financial Access and Coding Services to optimize end-to-end revenue cycle performance.
• Collaborate with hospital and care-setting leaders to ensure consistent billing practices.
• Oversee denial prevention/recov ery strategies and ensure timely posting of payments and reconciliations.
