Job summary

Third Way is seeking a Director of Anti-Extremism in Washington, DC, with 5–8+ years in political organizations. The role leads data-driven campaigns to counter far-left extremism and mobilize the center, coordinating research, memos, and materials for decisionmakers.

The position offers a hybrid work model, competitive salary of $140,000–$150,000 annually, and a focus on building a broad, diverse coalition and strategic messaging across media channels.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in political organizations, campaigns, leadership development, or coalition-building.
• Understanding of the moderate Democratic political ecosystem and its key stakeholders.
• Experience developing and running communications and advocacy campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and manage an anti-extremism data repository and voting records for allies and partners.
• Lead public opinion research to identify contrasts that shift base voters away from extreme candidates.
• Oversee development of memos, talking points, rapid response materials, and other materials to counter extremism.
• Promote research and materials to decisionmakers quickly and at scale through a coordinated distribution network.
• Recruit diverse spokespeople and build a broad coalition of partners to counter extremism.
• Run an earned media program to generate coverage across op-eds, TV, podcasts, and digital media.
