Third Way in Washington, DC is seeking a Deputy Director, Digital Communications for Unmoderated News to lead strategy and oversee researchers, strategists, and creatives. You will shape content plans, forge influencer relationships, and maximize earned media by coordinating with the press team across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in digital communications, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years in digital communications with significant political experience.
• Hands-on/entrepreneurial work style with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create and oversee a strategy and content plan to identify and spotlight center-left ideas and people in influential digital spaces.
• Review and provide editorial feedback on content from the digital team on substance and style.
• Guide media monitoring staff to track timely ideas and commentary from moderates across national media.
• Collaborate with digital staff to produce timely, on-brand content for audiences and platforms.
• Lead marketing for Unmoderated News’s flagship podcast, including clip production for social.
• Coordinate with design to ensure cohesive visual branding for online assets.
• Stay informed on political landscape to advise rapid response content with staff input.
• Track trends in digital communications and changes in how elite audiences consume news.
