Job summary

Third Way, a national think tank, seeks a Senior Digital Media Advisor to lead social media strategy and content creation across platforms. You will work with journalists and influencers to promote Third Way’s policy products and campaigns, shaping national conversations with timely, engaging multimedia content.

The role emphasizes video editing, design, and strategic advertising across channels, with hybrid collaboration across the Marketing and Communications teams in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years related experience in US government, campaigns, journalism, or private sector.
• Understanding of US politics and major Democratic players.
• Video editing and design skills are highly desired.
• Knowledge of online culture and ability to craft appropriate messaging for diverse audiences.
• Experience with paid social media advertising.

Responsibilities

• Drafts timely, creative digital content aligned with Third Way’s narrative.
• Develops and executes digital campaigns across platforms.
• Oversees social media advertising plans and optimizes performance.
• Creates multimedia content (video, graphics, threads) for engagement.
• Monitors digital conversations and engages with influencers and journalists.
• Collaborates with communications and program staff on digital strategies.
• Trains staff on best practices for platforms and digital communications.
