Job summary

Third Way, a national think tank and advocacy organization, seeks a Director of Anti-Extremism to lead a major project combating far-left extremism and to mobilize the center left at the national level. The role focuses on coordinating research, messaging, and coalition-building to shape policy debates and public opinion.

Based in Washington, DC, with a hybrid work model, you will manage cross-functional teams, develop strategic campaigns, and guide rapid responses across media.

Responsibilities

• Assembling/updating a database of extreme-ideas and voting records for allies.
• Leading public opinion research to identify effective contrasts.
• Overseeing memos, talking points, rapid response materials to argue against extremism.
• Promoting research to decisionmakers through a coordinated distribution network.
• Recruiting diverse spokespeople and building coalitions to counter extremism.
• Managing an earned media program across op-eds, TV, podcasts, and digital media.
