Job summary

Third Way is seeking a Director of Anti-Extremism to lead a national effort against far-left extremism and mobilize the center left. The role will manage research, messaging, and coalitions across senior stakeholders, while building a scalable distribution of our materials to influence decisionmakers.

The position requires 5–8+ years in political organizations, with strong project management and campaign experience, and will operate in a hybrid office setting out of Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in political organizations, campaigns, leadership development, or coalition-building.
• Understanding of the moderate Democratic ecosystem and its key stakeholders.
• Experience developing and running communications and advocacy campaigns.
• Ability to manage both internal coordination and external coalitions effectively.
• Strong organizational and operational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead anti-extremism campaign to mobilize the center-left in national politics.
• Assemble and update a repository of extreme ideas and voting records for allies and partners.
• Oversee memos, talking points, rapid response materials, and other products to counter extremism.
• Promote research to decisionmakers through coordinated, scalable distribution.
• Recruit diverse spokespeople and build a broad coalition of organizational partners.
• Run an earned media program across op-eds, TV appearances, podcasts, and digital media.
