Job summary

Howden North America is seeking a senior specialist to execute catastrophe modeling, data preparation and analysis for client portfolios. You will respond to stakeholder queries on property exposure data and real-time cat events, and translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.

The role requires strong experience with cat modeling software and data visualization tools, and a track record of improving analytical processes.

Qualifications

4+ years of catastrophe modeling and risk management experience.
Proficiency in data analysis, manipulation, and visualization tools.
Familiarity with cat modeling software and understanding of model methodology.

Responsibilities

Execute catastrophe modeling tasks including data prep, validation, portfolio analysis and postprocessing.
Respond to queries from internal/external stakeholders on property exposure data and cat events.
Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Use proprietary software to design/manage catastrophe reinsurance programs.
Improve analytical processes for greater client results.
Build strong relationships with colleagues, clients and reinsurers.
