• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation, carrier compliance, or risk management.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams and developing talent.
• Deep knowledge of FMCSA regulations, carrier qualification standards, cargo claims management, and insurance requirements.
• Proven track record implementing compliance programs, controls, and process improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall carrier compliance strategy, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, customer obligations, and company risk management standards.
• Oversee carrier qualification, onboarding, monitoring, and compliance programs, including safety, authority, insurance, and contractual requirements.
• Direct cargo claims management and recovery efforts, partnering with carriers, insurance providers, customers, and internal stakeholders to minimize risk.
• Provide oversight of carrier and shipper contract compliance, ensuring operational alignment with contractual and customer-specific requirements.
• Drive compliance audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen controls and data integrity.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop scalable compliance solutions and support business growth.
• Lead, develop, and mentor compliance team members while serving as the organization's subject matter expert on transportation compliance, insurance, and carrier risk management.
