Job summary

Axle Logistics, a top-20 North American freight brokerage, seeks a Director of Carrier Compliance to lead our carrier compliance program and risk framework. You will own the strategy, governance, and day-to-day operations, shaping how Axle partners with motor carriers.

The ideal candidate has deep FMCSA regulatory expertise, fraud detection experience, and proven leadership to build a high-performing team across Operations, Sales, and Claims.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in carrier compliance or related field.
• Deep knowledge of FMCSA regulations and carrier compliance programs.
• Experience with fraud detection and risk mitigation.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent written communication; leadership experience or readiness to lead a team.
• Bachelor's degree; advanced certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Axle's carrier compliance program and risk framework.
• Roll out policy updates to Operations, Sales, and Claims teams.
• Investigate carrier fraud indicators and respond to incidents.
• Manage compliance tech stack and data governance.
• Lead a team of analysts and develop workflows for alerts.
• Report risk metrics and program performance to leadership.
