Job summary

U.S. Multimodal Group is seeking a Director of Safety to shape the safety and compliance program in partnership with local operations, ensuring nationwide leadership in safety and regulatory adherence for drivers and equipment.

You will oversee driver qualification, incident investigations, safety training, and CSA reporting, while coordinating with insurance, audits, and safety leadership to build a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a safety leadership role within transportation or related field.
• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and state regulations affecting transportation safety.
• Understanding of telematics, ELDs, cameras and hours-of-service rules.

Responsibilities

• Ensure drivers comply with local, state and federal laws daily.
• Manage telematics and related equipment; provide weekly safety updates to leadership.
• Onboard drivers into Drug and Alcohol programs; manage random DOT testing.
