Job summary

University Hospitals seeks a Director, Care Connections Access to lead patient access operations across the market, overseeing registration, scheduling, authorization, financial clearance and cash collection. You will drive accountability, optimize workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance.

In this 24/7 leadership role, you will develop teams, manage audits, partner with hospital leaders, and advance improvements in pre-service processes to reduce denials and boost cash flow.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• 2+ years supervisory experience including hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, developing and engaging staff.
• Experience in academic medical center and/or multi-system hospital; experience using multiple complex software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient access and revenue cycle operations across markets.
• Lead staffing, hiring, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Drive initiatives to reduce denials and improve cash flow.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and audits in Patient Access.
• Partner with hospital leadership and travel to other sites as needed.
