Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director, Card Tech Risk Advisor to lead technology risk across the Card Technology division. You will partner with senior technology and enterprise teams to develop and implement risk tools and frameworks that balance innovation with customer protection.

The role requires deep risk management expertise, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to lead a team of risk professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.
• 9+ years of experience in technology, cybersecurity, or risk management roles.
• 5+ years of experience in people leadership/management.
• 4+ years of experience in analyzing data extracts to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technology (e.g. AWS environment), cyber (e.g. information security, network security, vulnerability management) skills, and risk management frameworks to provide technology-related risk consulting to the business.
• Provide sound judgments in information security, vulnerability management, and network security across applications, platforms, and controls.
• Manage other Technology Risk Managers through a comprehensive technology risk delivery model.
• Consult strategically with Accountable Executives across Technology.
• Serve as interdepartmental advisor interfacing with enterprise technology and other lines of business and Cyber.
• Collaborate across organizations to achieve objectives.
• Deliver clear, organized information, tailoring communication to audience and complexities.
• Analyze data extracts to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to elevate key risks.
• Facilitate compliance with policies through risk assessments and enterprise risk management programs.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in the business.
• Document and track resolution of risk events / issues impacting customers; develop corrective actions.
• Manage special projects.
• Travel up to 10% when applicable.
