Job summary

Capital One seeks a Director, Card Tech Risk Advisor in McLean, VA to apply risk management, technology and cyber expertise to the Card Technology division. You will partner with divisional leaders, enterprise technology and Information Security to develop risk solutions that support innovation while protecting customers and shareholders.

In this role you will lead risk frameworks, collaborate with second lines of defense, and guide risk assessments, reporting and remediation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience required.
• 9+ years in technology, cybersecurity, or related risk domains including risk assessments and resilience engineering.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• 4+ years of analyzing data extracts to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

Responsibilities

• Execute technology-related risk consulting across the Card Tech org and stakeholders.
• Assess information security, vulnerability and network security risks across applications and controls.
• Lead technology risk delivery through a comprehensive risk management model.
• Advise Accountable Executives and collaborate with enterprise technology and Cyber teams.
• Interface with multiple lines of business to drive risk-informed decisions.
• Communicate complex issues clearly to varied audiences and stakeholders.
• Analyze data extracts to identify trends, patterns and anomalies to elevate key risks.
• Support enterprise risk management programs and policy compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead special projects.
• Travel up to 10%.
