Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Risk Management: Cyber & Third Party Risk to lead a multidisciplinary team across Card Risk, Supplier Management and Cyber. You will guide risk identification, measurement, analysis and reporting to protect customers and the company.

You will collaborate with enterprise technology and multiple business lines, delivering concise narratives and ensuring compliance, with travel up to 10% and a focus on automation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience required.
• 9+ years in technology and risk management.
• 5+ years in third party risk management.
• 5+ years in people management.
• Experience in cloud, cyber and technology operations certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive team initiatives to improve third-party risk management and vendor lifecycle.
• Engage with cross-functional leadership to deliver program status.
• Leverage expertise to assess contracting risk, delivery, security and resilience.
• Serve as interdepartmental advisor interfacing with enterprise technology.
• Collaborate across organizations to achieve objectives and communicate clearly.
• Analyze data extracts to identify trends, escalate risks and issues.
• Facilitate policies with risk assessments and enterprise risk programs.
• Identify opportunities for continued improvement and permanent corrective actions.
• Manage special projects; travel up to 10%.
