Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of professional experience with 5+ years in business analysis or related disciplines.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• Experience leading teams for business capability analysis and platform enablement.
• Strong understanding of digital platforms, APIs, and service-based architectures (RESTful).
• Experience partnering across product, technology, architecture, and delivery.
• Proven ability to influence decision-making and build cross-stakeholder alignment.
• Experience using GenAI and fostering experimentation to improve outcomes.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable capabilities.

The Role

The Director, Business Analyst Leader, will lead a team of business analysts responsible for business capability analysis, requirements definition, feature planning, and platform enablement supporting Digital Business Capabilities and FT Frameworks. The team partners across product, technology, architecture, and business organizations to ensure alignment with customer needs, business priorities, and enterprise objectives.

The programs and platforms supported by this team are strategically important and often span multiple business units. Success in this role requires strong collaboration across product and technology leaders, architects, technology teams, and business stakeholders to drive alignment, prioritize outcomes, and deliver scalable capability solutions.

The director will manage a team of analysts who serve as subject matter experts on capabilities, APIs, customer experience, and business processes. They will provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to help associates grow their analytical, technical, and consulting skills while ensuring consistent execution and delivery excellence across the team.

The director is a trusted partner to product, technology, and delivery leaders, helping define roadmaps, evaluate capability opportunities, guide capability strategy, resolve cross-team dependencies, support strategic initiatives, and promote business analysis best practices across supported organizations. The role combines people leadership with deep business analysis and capability expertise, enabling teams to translate business needs into scalable capabilities that drive customer, business, and enterprise value.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 10 plus years of professional experience with 5 plus years in business analysis, systems analysis, product analysis, technology consulting, or related disciplines
• 3 plus years of people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and talent development
• Experience leading teams responsible for business capability analysis, requirements definition, and platform enablement initiatives
• Strong understanding of digital platforms, APIs, and service-based architectures, including RESTful API concepts.
• Experience partnering with product, technology, architecture, and delivery organizations to drive strategic business outcomes.
• Proven ability to influence decision‑making and build alignment across multiple stakeholder groups
• Strong relationship‑building skills with a demonstrated ability to break down organizational silos and foster collaboration
• Experience leveraging GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities in daily work and fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance associate experiences, customer experiences, and business outcomes.
• Experience using customer insights, business metrics, and data analysis to guide recommendations and prioritization.
• Ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Experience developing associates, creating growth opportunities, and building high‑performing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives while maintaining focus on strategic objectives

The Team

The business analysis team is part of Brokerage Delivery Enablement within Brokerage Technology. The team is responsible for enabling and maximizing the delivery of technology and business capabilities that support customer and associate experiences across Brokerage and additional Fidelity businesses.

The team serves as the bridge between business strategy, customer needs, and execution, providing the analysis, capability planning, and requirements expertise needed to deliver scalable digital solutions. By partnering closely with product, technology, and architecture teams, the business analysis team helps ensure work is aligned, reusable, and positioned to support Fidelity’s evolving business and customer needs.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
