Job summary

Happen Bank is seeking aDirector, ECO Technology & Data to lead data, technology, and analytics for BSA/AML and KYC programs. You will drive strategy, partner across Compliance, Technology, and Risk, and oversee large-scale implementations with a focus on AI-enabled, compliant, scalable solutions.

The role requires building a high-performing team and delivering measurable risk-reduction outcomes. The position operates in a hybrid environment with relocation options and a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in banking or financial services
• Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent
• Strong command of KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions and watchlist screening
• Experience with BSA/AML platforms such as Verafin, Bridger, Oscilar
• Demonstrated experience leading quantitative analytics functions
• Experience in fast-paced, regulated environments and delivering high-quality outcomes
• Rigorous, principled approach to BSA/AML risk decisions
• Ability to partner with Technology, Risk, Compliance and business teams
• Strategic view on applying AI to BSA/AML data and governance
• Ability to lead through ambiguity and drive measurable outcomes

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy for BSA/AML data, technology, analytics, and transaction monitoring
• Lead BSA/AML data and technology needs across business lines
• Own performance and evolution of BSA/AML technology and resolve issues
• Lead implementations of large-scale BSA/AML solutions
• Build and manage transaction monitoring rule development and analytics
• Partner with Model Risk Management on governance and validation
• Own data requirements across risk assessments and regulatory inquiries
• Use AI and automation to improve workflows with governance
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team
