Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Director of BESS Augmentation to lead strategic and operational efforts across national battery energy storage projects.

You will direct Superintendents, collaborate with project managers, and ensure safe, timely, and profitable delivery of capacity additions, replacements, system upgrades, and testing for SOLV and third‑party clients. This role is fully remote with travel about 30% to support projects, sites, clients, and team development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Progressive leadership experience in utility-scale BESS projects.
• Experience leading managers, superintendents, and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for BESS augmentation programs.
• Set portfolio priorities, staffing plans, governance, and augmentation strategies.
• Direct safe field execution, outage planning, and subcontractor coordination.
• Manage budgets, procurement, contracts, and schedules.
• Develop leaders through coaching, training, and succession planning.
• Travel at least 30% to support projects and teams.
• Maintain lifecycle oversight from opportunity qualification to closeout.
