Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Director of BESS Augmentation to lead strategic and operational efforts for battery energy storage system augmentation programs. This fully remote role directs Superintendents, works with project managers, and ensures safe, profitable project delivery for SOLV and clients across the country.

The position requires extensive knowledge of BESS systems, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent BESS leadership experience.
Progressive leadership experience in utility-scale BESS, power generation, or related technical services.
Ability to communicate strategy and risk to executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for BESS augmentation programs and direct field execution.
Set portfolio priorities, staffing plans, budgets, and schedules with project managers.
Coordinate with OEMs, integrators, utilities, and clients to align execution.
Review forecasts, margins, risks, and corrective actions; drive continuous improvement.
Lead safety planning and ensure compliance across sites and projects.
