Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Director of BESS Augmentation to lead strategic and operational aspects of battery energy storage augmentation projects.

The role directs Superintendents, collaborates with project managers, and oversees portfolio planning, ensuring safe, timely, and profitable delivery for SOLV and clients. The position is fully remote, with travel to project sites and client locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline preferred; equivalent BESS leadership experience may be considered.
• Progressive leadership experience in utility-scale BESS, power generation, or related technical services.
• Experience leading managers, Superintendents, field teams, and multiple concurrent BESS augmentation projects.
• Advanced knowledge of BESS governance, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and financial performance.
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to communicate strategy to executives and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for BESS augmentation programs and teams.
• Set portfolio priorities, staffing, governance, and augmentation strategies.
• Direct safe field execution, planning, subcontractor coordination, and turnover.
• Partner with project managers on budgets, procurement, schedules, and risk management.
• Review portfolio safety, quality, schedule, cost, and customer commitments.
• Develop leaders through coaching, training, and succession planning.
