Job summary

American International Industries seeks an experienced Manager of PR & Brand Communications to lead public relations and external brand communications across its beauty brand portfolio. The role develops and executes strategies to increase brand awareness, earn media, and maintain relevance in a dynamic beauty landscape.

The Manager will lead media relations, influencer relations, product seeding, awards, events, partnerships, and brand storytelling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in public relations, communications, or brand communications in beauty, cosmetics, personal care, fashion, or consumer products.
• Proven ability to develop and lead successful PR strategies and product launches.
• Strong relationships with beauty editors, journalists, creators, influencers, makeup artists, and other industry professionals.]
• Deep understanding of today’s beauty media, creator, social, and cultural landscape.
• Excellent writing, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the overall PR and communications strategy across the company’s beauty brand portfolio.
• Create annual and seasonal PR plans aligned with brand priorities, product launches, retailer initiatives, and marketing calendars.
• Establish objectives and priorities for each brand based on its positioning and target consumer.
• Identify new ways to increase brand visibility, credibility, and cultural relevance.
• Proactively pitch products, trends, brand stories, innovations, executives, and experts.
• Secure high-quality earned media coverage, and editorial opportunities.
• Oversee press releases, media kits, talking points, and other communications.
• Develop relationships with beauty creators, influencers, makeup artists, and other professionals.
• Oversee strategic product seeding and gifting programs to generate authentic exposure.
• Coordinate PR timing with Brand Marketing, Social Media, Digital, Sales, and retailers.
• Develop strategy for press previews, editor events, creator experiences, and brand activations.
• Monitor competitor launches, PR strategies, partnerships, events, and creator activity.
• Establish meaningful KPIs for PR programs and campaigns.
• Provide senior management with regular reporting on results and priorities.
