Job summary

Madison Energy Infrastructure is seeking a Director of Battery Asset Management to build and run the operating platform behind a national distributed battery fleet. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting with strategic leadership to ensure high availability, warranty management, and efficient O&M contracts.

You will own fleet performance metrics, build the monitoring platform with Analytics, and grow the team as the fleet scales across states.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in distributed generation battery systems.
• Hands-on troubleshooting with battery assets.
• Experience negotiating or administering O&M agreements.
• Experience managing people and budgets.
• Knowledge of OEM manuals, warranties, and inspections.
• Familiarity with electrical drawings (three-line diagrams).
• Experience with operational reporting tools such as Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Manage Battery Asset Manager, hands-on with OEMs and site issues.
• Oversee fleet performance metrics and preventive maintenance.
• Build and monitor the battery monitoring platform with analytics.
• Negotiate and administer O&M agreements and long-term service contracts.
• Ensure fire safety, AHJ compliance, and vendor adherence.
• Lead a growing team and maintain commercial fluency on ownership, finance, and contracts.
